Merchandise can be returned within 30 days of purchase. Your original receipt must accompany your returned items(s) to process your refund. All returned items must be in their original state, with all tickets attached and deemed by us to be unused/undamaged before they can be accepted for a refund.
Handmade reeds are final sale. Unfortunately there are too many variables such as: playing ability, instrument condition, and local climate for us to accept returns.
Used instruments are sold as is and are final sale.
New Instrument returns are governed by our Instrument Trial Policy.
Instrument Trial Policy
Choosing a new instrument is an inherently subjective process so we recommend coming to the store in Toronto to make your selection. If you are unable to make it in we allow a trial period on New Instruments.
Standard Trial Period
We require that you pay in full for any instrument(s) you wish to try. We allow a seven business day trial period, from the time of receipt, to play the instrument and make a decision. If you don’t like it you can send it back and we’ll provide a full refund.
Any instrument kept beyond seven business days is considered sold and will be accepted for return at our option.
Teacher Sponsored Trial Period
If your study with a teacher in good standing with us we will send multiple instruments, to a maximum of three, for you to try for seven business days. You will not be required to purchase any of the instruments up front, you will however need to provide a credit card number as collateral.
Please note that a teacher sponsored trial must be arranged by the teacher with us directly. The instruments remain our property while they are out on trial. We will only send them to your teacher, and they must stay with your teacher for the duration of the trial.
Any instruments kept beyond seven business days will be considered sold and your credit card will be charged.
Please note that you are responsible for any applicable shipping costs. Instruments MUST be sent by overnight courier. Payment by Visa, MasterCard, or American Express is preferred. If you wish to pay by Cheque, Wire Transfer, or E-Transfer, no merchandise will be sent until we have confirmed with our bank that the funds have cleared.
Any returns are subject to an inspection and play test. You will be responsible for any necessary repairs, outside of normal wear and tear, which will be billed at normal shop rate.
