Gary Armstrong Woodwinds

Here at Gary Armstrong Woodwinds our staff is trained to handle any and all of the repair needs that any musician be it
professional or amature will require. As our name suggests we cater exclusively to woodwinds, that includes: Clarinet,
Saxophone, Flute, Oboe, English Horn, Bassoon and everything in between. When you bring your instrument to our
shop for repair you can be assured of the highest quality workmanship. We strive to make your instrument "better than

Gary Armstrong played oboe professionally while starting his business
more than 25 years ago. With his background and experience, Gary
has a keen understanding of the level of perfection demanded by
professional woodwind players. Gary normally handles all of our
double reed work, as well as any of the specialized work needed for
instruments such as: crack repair and custom modifications.

Shauna Penny joined the Gary Armstrong Woodwinds staff back in 2001 after graduating Keyano College's instrument
repair program; and training further with Gary at the shop. This training has provided her with the expertise, and
extensive knowledge of woodwinds that allows her to complete her repair to the standard of perfection that customers, as
well as Gary himself expects. Her specialties include but are not limited to: saxophones, clarinets and flutes.

Dylan Groff is the newest addition to our staff. He joined in 2007 as a high school student on a co-op program. Dylan has
his hand in most aspects of daily operation at the shop. He acts as our front end manager, assisting customers both in the
store and on the phone; he is our tech support service; and recently he has been accepted by Gary as an apprentice.
