Regardless of the issue, we will give your instrument the care it needs, as we strive to make your instrument
"Better than new".
The First Steps...
If you are wishing to send your instrument into us for repair there are certain steps that need to be taken to
ensure that it arrives safely.

When shipping an instrument it is important to select the appropriate packing materials. The best way to ship it is
in a sturdy corigated box. The box should be larger then the case of the instrument so once the packing materials
go in there is no danger of the instrument touching the sides of the box. The empty space in the box can be filled
with crumpled newspaper, bubble wrap, or packing peanuts until there is no movement of the instrument within
the box. Then the box should be closed securely with a good amound of packing tape covering all the seams of
the box on both the top and bottom to ensure the box cannot open during shipping. We recommend that it is
sent by courier so it can beinsured and is sent more quickly so the instrument spends as little time as possible in an
uncontrolled climate zone.

Once the work is complete we can ship your instrument back to you using the same methods of packing as it was
sent to us. We use UPS to ship all of our instruments. The shipping charges will be added to the repair bill.

Information to include with your instrument:
- Full Name
- E-mail address
- Shipping address
- Phone number (including alternate if necessary)
- Instrument model name and serial number
- Requested date of return
- Detailed description of what work needs to be done or a general description of the problem
Once we have received your instrument we will contact you with a quote on all work necessary and a timeframe to
expect it returned by.
How to send your Instrument
We understand that it is not only our schedule that is packed but your own, to that end we strive to get your instrument back
to you as quickly as possible. One of our highly skilled repair technicians will service your instrument and when it is ready we will
contact you again with the total cost of the work. At that time you can specify whether you will be able to pick your instrument
up or if you require us to ship it back to you.

We always recommend that you come into the shop personally to play test your instrument after it is repaired. This gives you an
opportunity to have any small adjustments made to the instrument before it leaves the shop.

We understand that it is often not possible to make it into the shop, we therefore offer return shipping services for all of our
repair work. All shipping is done in the same manner as suggested above and all instruments are shipped via UPS. This is to
ensure that the instrument arrives quickly and safely, as well as being definitively tracked.
The Next Steps...
There are several different ways that instruments arrive at our shop for repair:

We always welcome people coming directly into the shop. It gives us a chance to not only put a face to a name, but it allows us to
talk with you directly to give us a better understanding of what your instrument needs. It can also give you a chance to play the
instrument for us to demonstrate any issues, which is often a much more effective way to communicate the issue.

Because we are a world class instrument repair shop it is often not possible for our customers to come directly into the shop. In
that case we invite you to ship your instrument to us.
